postheadericon 1ST POSTER FOR SPOOKY SF FILM "APOLLO 18". MARK WAHLBERG TAKES THE LEAD IN "UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE". CRAZY TRAILER FOR DISNEY'S "MARS NEEDS MOMS"

Here's the first poster for the new sf horror APOLLO 18 which is coming out next March. The spooky film will rely on found footage to tell its story.
The plot will revolve around recently discovered video shot by the crew of an abandoned moon mission from the early 70s. NASA claims that the mission never took place, but this new discovery reveals the existence of alien life and explains why NASA has hidden the footage for all of these years.

Ah, here's another film ruined by bad casting at the very beginning: Mark Wahlberg will take the lead role in UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE, the adaptation of the popular video game about a treasure hunter Nate Drake who believes he has learned the whereabouts of El Dorado, the fabled South American golden city, from a cursed golden statue. The search becomes competitive
when a rival hunter joins the fray, then mutated descendants of Spaniards and Nazis begin attacking those hoping to learn the treasure's true secrets. Wahlberg might be joined by Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci in this action adventure. The whole film would've been so much different if they took Nathan Fillion for the lead role :(

You can also check out the crazy trailer for Disney's MARS NEED MOMS animated film in which nine-year-old Milo finds out just how much he needs his mom when she's nabbed by Martians who plan to steal her mom-ness for their own young. Milo embarks on a quest to save his mom - a wild adventure that involves stowing away on a spaceship, navigating an elaborate, multi-level planet and taking on the alien nation and their leader. With the help of a tech-savvy, underground earthman named Gribble and a rebel Martian girl called Ki, Milo just might find his way back to his mom - in more ways than one. The film is out next Spring.

And HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my dear readers, visitors and friends over in U.S.A. HOLLYWOOD SPY is thankful for having you :)

postheadericon SPECTACULAR TRAILER FOR MEDIEVAL EPIC "SEASON OF THE WITCH". SPOOKY TRAILER FOR "THE RITE" WITH ANTHONY HOPKINS

Last week I presented you a cool poster for SEASON OF THE WITCH, and now you can view the breathtaking and spectacular trailer for this action packed epic.
In the film, Nicolas Cage stars as a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade (Ron Perlman) to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence. A priest, a grieving knight, an itinerant swindler and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight join the mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl.
When the embattled party arrives at the abbey, a horrific discovery jeopardizes the knight’s pledge to ensure the girl fair treatment, and pits them against an inexplicably powerful and destructive force. The film is out next January.

You can also check out the spooky poster and trailer for the new religious thriller THE RITE which comes out next January and stars Anthony Hopkins.
The film will follow skeptical seminary student Michael Kovak (Colin O’Donoghue), who reluctantly attends exorcism school at the Vatican. While in Rome, he meets an unorthodox priest, Father Lucas (Anthony Hopkins), who introduces him to the darker side of his faith. This supernatural thriller will uncover the devil’s reach to even one of the holiest places on Earth. The film also has other amazing mature actors in its cast: Ciarán Hinds, Rutger Hauer, Franco Nero ... The tag line of the film says - you can only defeat it when you believe!

And a big congrats to our Michael Malone from MAY CONTAIN NUTS who has just signed a publishing contract for his debut crime novel "Blood Tears"!!!

postheadericon MICHAEL MANN TO GO MEDIEVAL IN "AGINCOURT". "THE LORAX" BY DR. SEUSS GETS ITS 3D FILM. SPOOKY POSTER FOR POST-APOCALYPTIC THRILLER "THE DIVIDE"

The team which made DESPICABLE ME is preparing a new environmentally friendly animated project - THE LORAX by Dr. Seuss, and you can check out the first image of a stumpy little guy who stands on a tree stump deploring the destruction of a
forest. Danny De Vito will give voice to Lorax, and other characters will also include The Once-ler, a shortsighted, greedy creature who chops down every tree he can find, and O'Hare, another industrialist who sells cans of fresh air to the polluted world the Once-ler creates and wants to keep it that way. Betty White and Zac Efron will also be the part of the voice cast.

Last year I wrote a beautiful article revealing that the story of the famous battle at AGINCOURT was going to be made into a film, but now it seems the possible director could be famous Michael Mann (THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS).
Based on the bestselling novel by Bernard Cornwell, this medieval epic will describe the famous 15th century battle between England lead by young king Henry V and France. Henry lead his glorious army in the quest to claim the French crown but he soon discovered that the enemy was more daunting than he could ever have imagined. But although much more bigger, the French army had at least five times more casualties in the end with most of the French noble men dying in the battle.

And check out the cool new poster from next year's futuristic thriller THE DIVIDE. Starring Milo Ventimiglia, Rossana Arquette and Michael Biehn it starts after a cataclysmic explosion
devastates New York and eight strangers take refuge in the basement of their apartment building, a converted fallout shelter. While they try to fathom the catastrophe that has ended their world, suddenly men in HAZMAT suits storm their shelter and open fire. The strangers join forces in a desperate bid to take on this enemy and to, later on, deal with the claustrophobia, radiation-poisoning and dwindling supplies. But in order to survive the end of the world they must first survive each other. HOLLYWOOD SPY has published an intense trailer of THE DIVIDE earlier this year.
